Macaroni and Wisconsin Cheese
Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients:
1 package (8 ounces) elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon grated onion
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded
Wisconsin Sharp Cheddar cheese
1-1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
Cooking Directions:
Cook macaroni in the salted water according to package directions. Drain and rinse.
In a saucepan, melt butter; blend in flour, salt and pepper. Slowly add and stir in milk; cook and stir until thickened. Add onion, cheese and next two ingredients. Cook and stir until cheese melts. Pour mixture over macaroni. Toss lightly; turn into a buttered two quart casserole. Top with crumbs. Bake at 375° F for 25 minutes or until top is browned.
